Monday, October 5 Lesson Recording:
We are diving into the string family this month - in particular we will learn about the violin and the viola. The following books go very well with our lessons.
*Note: The Mozart Question, by Michael Morpurgo is a beautiful book on audio. Keep in mind, however, that this is a story of the holocaust and is best suited for middle grades. I thoroughly enjoyed the music that accompanied the story and was moved by the story itself.
The books by Patricia Polacco (The Bravest Man in the World) and Don Freeman (Manuelo the Playing Mantis) are welcome additions to any child's library, as well.
I always loved having these books on our shelves at home because each time we read them we could remember what we had been learning at the point in time when we first "met" the story.
